Emma Carey

Emma Finley Carey, 67, left this life for a home in Heaven on Thursday, August 15, 2019, in El Dorado, Arkansas.

Emma was born on January 13, 1952 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Cubie Sr. and Agnes Pierce Finley.  She was the seventh of 11 children.

She was united in holy matrimony to Bobby James Carey on September 20, 1974.  To this union two children were born - Pierre Ramon Carey and Mariel Zennon Carey. 

Emma was a 1971 graduate of El Dorado High School.  She worked in the dietary department at Medical Center of South Arkansas, Oak Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, and Hillsboro Nursing Home. She was a proud member of Free Will Baptist Church, and  she loved to read, cook, and listen to music.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings - Cubie Finley, Jr., Jeanette Kilgore, Artie Mary Thompson, and Ollie Faye Finley.

Surviving family members include husband Bobby James, son Pierre (Adrianne), daughter Mariel, and grandson Jacobi Elijah Robinson.  Her loving siblings include Charles (Bobbi Jo) Finley, Leonard Finley, JoAnn Montgomery, Carolyn (James) Evans, Robert (Pateria) Finley, Doris Brice, Gwendolyn Jones, and a host of other relatives and friends.
