Dorothy Jacob

Dorothy Lee Bass Jacob was born on March 19, 1941, to the parentage of the late Duffer Bass and Lilie Mae Bass in the Union Arc Community.

She became a member of the Union Arc Baptist Church at an early age and remained a faithful member until her health began to fail.

Dorothy graduated from Rosenwald High School in Junction City, Arkansas.

She was married to the Late James Jacob; she transitioned from this life on April 27, 2025, at her daughter's home, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sons, James Anthony Jacob, Saronto Miles, and Sylvester Robinson, five brothers, and three sisters.

She raised Maya, Charles, Annette, and Jeffery.

She leaves to cherish her memories a son Gary Jacob, daughter Sonja Jacob Banks of Dodge City, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Tessie Easter of Dodge City, Arkansas; three brothers, Bennie Bass (Alvern) of Dodge City, Arkansas; Dovie Bass (Bertha) of Homer, Louisiana; and Cleo Bass of Downy California, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
