Donald Wayne Turner was born December 1, 1961, to Betty Marie Turner Riggins in El Dorado, Arkansas, where he was raised by her and his Father, Charles Edward Riggins. He accepted God into his life at an early age as a member of Morningstar Baptist Church. He kept the Lord in his life as he continued his walk with Christ as a member of Beulah Grove, Evergreen, and First St. James Baptist Church, where he served in multiple roles, including a member of the Finance Committee, the Usher Board, as Sunday School Superintendent, and a Deacon under Reverend Roy C. Aaron.
Donald, better known as "Tick," is a member of the 1980 Class of El Dorado High School, where he was a member of the Football team and a multitude of other social clubs. After High School, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served for 13 years, including a deployment to the Gulf War. In 1986, he married the love of his life, Alice Turner, and to this union, they were blessed with two children.
Tick was a dedicated employee of Clean Harbors for over 30 years, serving as a material handler, before retiring early due to health issues. As a man of the community, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge #151, A Hall of Fame inducted coach for the El Dorado Purple Pee Wee Football Organization. He was the self-proclaimed "#1 Wildcat Fan" for his love and lifelong support of his beloved El Dorado Wildcat Football Team.
On July 18, 2025, God called one of His strongest soldiers to join Him in eternal paradise. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Riggins. He leaves his cherished memories with His Wife of 39 years, Alice Turner; his mother, Betty Riggins; and his two sons, Damiane and Dominique Turner, of El Dorado. Arkansas; 2 Grandsons, Jaylen Turner of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ian Turner of Bossier City, Louisiana, and 1 Granddaughter, Amiyah Turner of El Dorado, Arkansas, along with a host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Family, and Friends who will miss him dearly.
