Donald Lloyd German was born September 2, 1960, along with his twin brother, Ronald, in Bastrop, LA, to the late Izea and Earlean German. He was raised as one of six amazing siblings. Donald was raised in the church and attended Evergreen Baptist Church in Bastrop, LA, where he confessed Christ and was baptized in August 1968. During his teenage years, Donald attended Bastrop High School, where he played football, ran track and cross-country, and drew art.
Donald graduated from Bastrop High School in May of 1978 and later attended Grambling State University, where he earned his Associate's Degree. While a young man, Donald met the love of his life, Peggy Easter. To this union was born one son, Rodriguez, in June of 1984.
The couple was united in holy matrimony in August 1993.
Donald was known as a hard worker throughout his life but also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being with his family. He never missed a chance to wish someone a happy birthday or a happy anniversary or simply check in with family to see how things were going. When Donald was around, a good story or a laugh was never far away. He worked until he retired from West Frazier Lumberyard.
On April 25, 2023, Donald departed from his earthly home. He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy German; his son, Rodriguez German; his father, Izea German; his mother, Earlean German; his brother, Isaiah German; and his sister, Anne German.
