Delveckio "Veck" Nation took his final walk on July 31, 2025, leaving behind worn-out sneakers, a mischievous grin, and a legacy of love, laughter, and a whole lot of bugging.
He was a man who never stayed still for long-unless it was to catch his breath before another block or to sneak up on someone for a quick tease. Walking was his favorite pastime, but making people smile (or groan) with his good-natured pestering was a close second. If you knew him, chances are you've been "bugged" at least once-and probably smiled about it afterward. Whether it was a sarcastic comment or an unexpected shoulder tap during a quiet moment, he had a gift for stirring things up just enough to remind everyone that life is better when you don't take it too seriously.
He is survived by his Mother, Angela Nation McBride; his Father, Andrew Kirk; and a Bonus Father, Leroy Parker; his Grandparents, Lois Nation and the late Cloyd Nation III; his Sisters, Quinsetta and Arcasia Nation,Jasmine Tisaby; his Brother, Dennis Tillman; his Nephews and Nieces, Jarondy, Jaraveion, Jaraven, and Jaryah Williams; his Aunts and uncles, Rita and Fred Davis, Phillis and Jose Young, and Roderick Moore. First Cousins: El'Shawana Keene, Xzavier Hollins, Tonaisha Johnson, Caltavious Brown, Cloyd Nation III, Sherrodo Taylor, Christopher Nation, Jarvis Davis, Keeyon Nation, Alvintino Pete, and Furninza Davis.
And countless friends, and neighbors who may finally get some peace and quiet-but would trade it all for just one more walk and one more laugh with him.
In honor of 'Veck', take a stroll, bug someone you love, and don't forget to laugh along the way and ask for "A Dollar".
