Sister Delois Ross was born January 20, 1948, in Urbana, AR, to Frank and Cather Ree Barnes. She was a Class of 1965 Gardner High School graduate. Afterwards, she entered the medical workforce. She later attended college in Camden, AR, obtaining her nursing degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. During her nursing career, she also worked as a Pharmacy Tech. She retired from the Medical Center of South Arkansas after over 45 years of service and dedication.

Sister Delois Ross enjoyed baking pound cakes, spending time with family and friends, and watching the Young and the Restless soap opera. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Eddie L. Ross, Jr., for over 50 years.

Sister Delois Ross passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2023, after fighting a lengthy battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Flora D. Ramey, Gloria D. Barnes, Vance Barnes, Ada Ruth Barnes, Ella Ruth Gilbert, Pauline Gaines, Medessie Thompson, Jessie James Barnes, Johnnie Ray Oliver, Robert Oliver, Eugene Barnes, Costella Malone, and Nettie Mae McKibbins.

Sister Delois Ross is survived by her husband, Eddie L. Ross Jr.; sons Edwin D. Ross (Kristy), Anthony B. Ross, Wayne Crew (Jenenda), and Dwayne Crew, all of El Dorado, AR; Two extended children, DeMario Moore of Killeen, TX and Floyesia Miller (Senicas) of Sherwood, AR; One beautiful granddaughter that she loved and adored, Aaliyah Ross; Sisters, Sycrece Thomas (Levelle) of Little Rock, AR, Ella Wee McMurrian (JC) of Urbana, AR, Dorothy Burns of Norphlet, AR, and Jessie Mae Billings of Detroit, MI; Brothers, Raymond L. Barnes of El Dorado, AR, Kenneth Barnes of Little Rock, AR, Frank Lee Barnes of Urbana, AR, and Robert Barnes(Bobbie) of Ashtabula, Ohio; And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
