On October 19, 1941, Clyde Walter (CW) Wainwright was born the son of the late Melvin and Louise Wainwright in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was one of five children.
CW was known and cared for by many in El Dorado and was seen as a kind, talkative, and a sometimes restless wanderer. He could be generous to a fault and was extremely loyal to those he considered family and friends. He was a hard worker with a gentle soul who did not seek or need the spotlight. He was happiest when he could share his take on the world, his knowledge and experience gained from the people he knew, and the jobs he performed for various people around town. His stories could entertain for hours.
CW was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Larry Wainwright, his sister, Cheelar Wainwright, and his dear friend and supporter, Franklyn D. Massey.
He is survived by his brothers, Leonard Wainwright and Charlie Wainwright, both of El Dorado, and a host of friends and extended family members.
