Cornelia Brown

Cornelia Williams Brown was born to the late Jim and Hattie Williams on May 25, 1923, in Shular, Arkansas. She was a member of Bouldware Temple Church for many years.

Cornelia was a caring and kind person and would always be friendly to whomever she met. She was a good cook and offered food whenever you visited her. She showed no favoritism to anyone, a genuinely kind and sweet person. Cornelia had many friends and acquaintances; she was never judgmental and always gracious and friendly to people, even when she was having a difficult time. Her quiet, understated strength enabled her to find the bright side of situations under the worst circumstances.

Cornelia worked in a school cafeteria for many years. She also worked as a cafeteria supervisor at Oakridge Nursing Home. She loved her job and loved feeding people. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Whale Brown in 1955 and they remained married until he departed this earth in 2001.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Whale Brown; one son, Robert Earl Easter; one brother, Amos Williams; and six sisters: Lilly Lowery, Maedell Jenkins, Margie Green, Olar Bell Williams, Minnie Ford, and Betty Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Johnny M. Easter of El Dorado, AR; one daughter, Brenda Joyce Lawrence of El Dorado, AR; two granddaughters, Shandala Smith and Sharon (Chris) Smith; one grandson, Steven D. Martin; three great-grandchildren: Kelsie Martin, Taleiyah Lumsey and Elijah Jay Roberts; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends. Special recognition to her caregivers: Lisa Samuels, LaDonna Gatson, Angie Clay, Barbara Hinton, and Jackie Blackmon; Three special friends, The late Orlando Reed Sr., Albert Deacon Jones, and Robin Nation; two bonus sons, Jay Tatum and Keith Tatum.
