Connie Louise Harris

Connie Louise Harris was born on September 27, 1965 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Brenda and Yancy R. Harris Jr. Connie departed this life on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Life Touch Hospice.  At an early age, she became a member of Ward Chapel C.M.E. Church. Connie was a 1983 graduate of Norphlet High School.  Her hobbies included cooking, dancing, fishing, shopping, spending time with her family and friends, living, and enjoying life to the fullest.

Connie did not have any biological children, but she helped raise her nieces, nephews, and her friends’ children as well.  Connie was employed with Champagnolle Landing as a Bus Driver until her health failed her. She enjoyed her job where she had the opportunity of nurturing more children.

Connie is preceded in death by her biological father, Yancy R. Harris Jr., grandparents Nancy Jean Brazle, Yancy and Magglean Harris.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories; her mom Brenda Benton and stepdad James Benton; two brothers, Yancy (Sonya) R. Harris III of El Cajon, California, and Paul Harris of El Dorado, Arkansas. Five sisters, Sheila Harris of Little Rock, Arkansas, Theola “Bonnie” Harris (Jerome) of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jamie “Boo” Davis (Antonio), Andrea “TK” Benton of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Nancy “Nikki” McCoy (Stanley) of Camden, Arkansas. She leaves three aunts; Pauline Harris, Ophelia Brazle, and Linda Ramey. Five uncles; Samuel Johnson Jr., Paul Harris, Bruce Harris, Jerome Harris, and Raymond Oliver. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends, and her fiancé David Marrable, who will miss her dearly.

Public Visitation will be Friday, September 28, 2018 from 12-5 pm at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 28, 2018 11:00 am Douglas Chapel. Interment will be at Rehobeth Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary. Sign the guestbook online at www.simsmortuary.com
