Charlotte Ann Hayes

September 9, 1959 — May 31, 2020

Charlotte Ann Levingston Hayes was born September 9, 1959, to the late Mary Ann Kimble and Ray Levingston. She was raised by the late Rev. Oliver Easter Sr. and Mary Ann Kimble Easter. Charlotte was the oldest of her family and made sure everyone was well at all times. Charlotte accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Bethel Baptist Church in El Dorado, AR. After leaving El Dorado in the year 2000, Charlotte joined Mesquite Friendship Baptist Church in Mesquite, TX.

Charlotte graduated from El Dorado High School in 1977. Shortly after she graduated high school, Charlotte proceeded to college at the University of Central Arkansas, Conway, AR, where she met Bill Hayes. They later married and had a beautiful baby girl-Linda (Lynn) Dianne and lived in Conway for several years. In the 1980s, Charlotte received her Licensed Practical Nursing License from Oil Belt Vocational School in El Dorado, AR. While working hard as a nurse, she was heavily involved with raising her daughter and attending church each Sunday. Charlotte wanted to continue her education, and in 1997, she received her A.S degree in Nursing/Registered Nurse. In 2000, she accepted a Director of Nursing position in long term care in Dallas, TX, and stayed until 2020.

Charlotte’s passion in life was nursing, giving back to others, including family, friends, and people she just met. She often provided meals and places for people to stay. She helped others with no expectation of receiving anything in return. She was a part of the healthcare ministry, choir, Singles Ministry, and provided screenings for the community at Mesquite Friendship Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, couponing, traveling, basketball and football games, attending her grandchildren’s activities, hanging out with her daughter on Saturdays, and spending time with family. Her infectious smile would light up any room.

Charlotte departed this life at the age of 60 on Sunday, May 31, 2020, at Baylor Plano Hospital in Plano, TX. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Dennis Mayfield, her parents Rev. Oliver Easter Sr. and Mary Ann Easter, her grandparents Carl Easter and Mae Dell Jenkins and Alice Coutee Kimble, and one brother, Michael Levingston.

Charlotte’s memories will be forever cherished by her daughter, Linda Hayes Dailey (Scorpio), her precious grandchildren, Kailebe and Taylor Dailey all of Wylie, TX.;  sisters Mildred “Jeannie” Hayes (Rick) of Jacksonville, AR, and Cynthia Harris-Watson (Oscar) of Wylie, TX;  brothers Donny Levingston of Hot Springs, AR; Oliver Easter Jr. of El Dorado, AR; and Carl Easter of Sherwood, AR. Her godchildren Tony Nelson (Chasity) and Sharvonia Nelson, all of Little Rock, AR. and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
