Charles Edward Riggins was born on May 2, 1943, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to the late Jordan D. & Margaret L. Riggins. Early in life, he accepted God and joined Morning Star #2 Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas. He graduated from Washington High School in 1962 and completed Diesel Mechanic School at Ellison Tech in Seattle, Washington.
On January 14, 1967, Charles married the love of his life Betty Marie Turner and their union sustained and flourished over the next 55 years. Miller Transportation employed Charles as a diesel mechanic for almost 40 years, where he retired in 2004. His hobbies included gardening a multitude of fruits and vegetables and raising livestock of all kinds.
Charles gained his wings and went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2022, at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gregory Riggins Sr. and five sisters Mae Pearl Williams,
Ester Ruth Debose, Glider Riggins, Yvonne Thomas & Jacqueline Smiley.
Charles leaves his cherished memories to his wife, Betty Riggins of El Dorado, Arkansas. Three children, Donald "Tick" Turner (Alice) of El Dorado, Cynthia Moore & Brandi Riggins of Little Rock, Arkansas, Five Brothers Curtis Riggins, Donald Rae Riggins, J.B. Riggins, Steve Riggins & Chappell Riggins. Five grandsons, Two granddaughters, and two Great Grandsons. He is also beloved by a host of relatives and friends.
