Charles Anthony McHenry

October 29, 1978 — January 3, 2021

Charles Anthony McHenry was born on October 29, 1978, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to Wynoia Faye Ward and Tony McHenry.

At an early age, Charles accepted Christ as his Savior and began his Christian journey at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Strong, AR, while being raised by Robert and Fannie McHenry.  

As a child, Charles “Toe” enjoyed playing basketball and dominoes with family and friends. Charles was a loving father, and as he grew older and had children, he devoted his time to his children. Charles had a strong and indestructible bond with his children. He loved his family and friends unconditionally. He attended Strong High School in Strong, AR, where he graduated from in 1997 as an honor student. 

Charles was a part of the basketball and football team and a member of the fighting Bulldogs Band. 

After High School, he moved to Jonesboro, AR and attended Arkansas State University and became an Engineer. After graduation in 2010, Charles moved to Killeen, TX, to follow his career path. He was a dedicated employee at the Samsung Austin Semiconductor Plant in Austin, TX, where he was an Engineer until God called him home. 

Charles departed this life on January 3, 2021; Charles was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Wilma and Elotis Ward, paternal grandparents Robert and Fannie McHenry, brother: Steven LaRoy Ward. 

He was also preceded in death by his uncle LaJohal McHenry and aunt LaJoyce McHenry.

His precious memories will be cherished by his parents, Wynoia Ward and Tony McHenry (Tara), both of Strong, AR. One son; Anthony M. McHenry of Killeen, TX. 

One daughter, A’Niyah McHenry of Killeen, TX. One Goddaughter; A’Meena Thomas of Killeen, TX. Two brothers, Lucas Ward and Tony McHenry (Latosha), both of Strong, AR. 

One niece, Keshyla McHenry, and Two nephews, Germyren McHenry and Elan McHenry of Strong, AR. Special friends; Cinika Thomas of Killeen, TX, Zandra Williams, Leola Williams, Petrinia Bankston, all of Strong, AR, and Petronia Dixon Kelly (Wayne), of Alexandria, AR. He also leaves a host of aunties, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
