Charles Ray Holmes was born in Plain Dealing Louisiana to Dorothy Ballard and Clark Lee Holmes, January 10, 1945.
He gave his life to the Lord early in life. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Strong, Arkansas.
He attended school in Plain Dealings Louisiana. He worked and retired from Murphy Oil.
Charles later married Lacerene William Holmes. He loved to hunt and fish, and he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He's preceded in death by his parents, Sister Junell Roston, Stepchildren, Barbara Lawson and Devious Pickett Jr., and step-grandchild, Antonio Edington.
Charles leaves to cherish his loving memory his children, Janice Holmes, Chris Holmes, Jackie Edington, Hershel Walter, Bobby Smith, Helen Pickett, Bettey Pickett, and Martin Luther Pickett, Siblings, Mary Williams, Lisa (Chip) Moore, Cleveland (Christine) Williams, Richard (Joann) Williams, a special grandson, LaDarius Pickett, and a special granddaughter Brittney Holmes and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
