Charles Foster

Mr. Charles Edward Foster was born on February 1, 1946, to the late Eddie James and Ola Perl Foster in El Dorado, Arkansas.

At an early age, he united with Zion Watch Baptist Church. Mr. Foster served his country by joining the United States Army. He was employed with Nexans AmerCable, Incorporated, where he worked in the shipping department until he retired. Although retired, he continued to spend a tremendous amount of time working. He'd frequently commit to private landscaping jobs. When he allowed himself to slow down and enjoy life, he loved gardening, spending time with family and friends, was an amazing cook, and enjoyed sightseeing. Mr. Foster was a people person and never met a stranger. He'd typically greet others with a warm, genuine, and infectious smile.

Mr. Foster departed this life Monday, March 20, 2023, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Faye Foster, and his parents, the late Eddie James and Ola Pearl Foster.

On October 12, 1967, Mr. Foster was united in Holy Matrimony to his high school sweetheart, Shirley Faye Moody. To this union, three children were born. He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Anthony and Timothy Foster (Syreeta), both of El Dorado, Arkansas; one daughter, Kimberly Baker (Nakia) of El Dorado, Arkansas; two sisters, Bobbie Jean Moore and Mae Esther Foster, both of El Dorado, Arkansas, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
