Carl Burgie

A Time To Be Born- Carl was born May 1, 1959, at Ouachita Medical Center, in Camden Ark. He was the youngest of six children born to RB and Leola Palmore Burgie.

A Time To Serve- He faithfully attended Morning Star MBC under the leadership of his nephew, Pastor Burgie. Carl supported the church faithfully, financially, and loved to go out to the streets with the Men’s Ministry to serve meals and street Ministry.

A Time To Love- Carl Loved his family He supported in various ways to all of his Nephews and Nieces.

A Time To Plant- He would do anything for anyone. He was an awesome brother and Uncle.

A Time To Laugh- His character, Congeniality, kindness, and his loved laughter had a way of inspiring those who he came in contact with whether at church or wherever.

A Time To Mourn- Carl peacefully transitioned to his final resting place on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at 3:41 p.m. at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. He will be remembered by the many lives he touched and those he loved dearly.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents, RB and Leola Burgie, Grandparents, William “Daddy" Babe and "momma", Ludie Reynolds Palmore, Robert, and Willie Burgie, one Sister Bobbie Jean Burgie Gatson,2 uncles L.C. Shorty Palmore, and Leonard “Fat" Burgie, 3 aunts, Mary Sue Burgie, Willie Faye Burgie, and Robertine Burgie McGraw.

He is survived by one Sister- Bettye Sue Burgie of Smackover, and 3 brothers, Clarence and Ca’Sandra Burgie of Northville, Michigan, Jerry Burgie of El Dorado, and Berry Burgie of El Dorado, Ark. Carl is also survived by one Uncle, Mr. Floyd Burgie of Daly City, California, Carl was a brother figure to all of his nieces and nephews, he always was the life of all social and family gatherings.

Carl also leaves behind two special friends Gracie Allen and Carolyn Miller.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 30, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church #2. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Lisbon Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary. Sign the guestbook at simsmortuary.com.
