Bobby Glen Tubbs

January 25, 1939 — May 24, 2020

Bobby Glen Tubbs. Was born January 25, 1939, in Junction City, Louisiana. He was the son of Jordan Daniel Tubbs and Luster Levingston Tubbs. At an early age, he gave his life to Christ and United with the Mt. Penguin Baptist Church in Junction City, Arkansas. He attended public school at Rosenwale in Junction City, Arkansas. He was an entrepreneur, he began logging at an early age, and he worked for himself and employed others to work alongside him. He enjoyed talking to all who would listen, about the many trees he cut down. He mastered his logging business “He was the best logger in South Arkansas” as he would often say. He worked until his health began to fail. 

On January 15, 1963, he united in Holy Matrimony to Winfred Jones. They remained married until the completion of his life journey, when the Lord called him home to eternal rest on May 24, 2020, at Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado, Arkansas, with his loving wife of 57 years by his side

Proceeding him in death, his parents, a daughter, Annie Dell Cunningham, 4 grandchildren, two brothers, James and Herbert Tubbs, 3 sisters, Nan Tubbs Brown, Jerline Tubbs, and Luree Michelle Tubbs.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 57 years Winfred Tubbs, one son, Larry Tubbs of El Dorado Arkansas, two daughters; Patricia Davis (Ted) of ElDorado, Arkansas, Florine Stanley, Minden Louisiana, stepdaughter Shirley Miller, Little Rock, Arkansas. Six brothers; Chester( Janice) Tubbs, Lester Tubbs, Harvey (Roxanne)Tubbs, Larry Tubbs, all of Houston, Texas, Eddie Tubbs of Washington State, and Bobby J. Tubbs, Crosby, Texas, six sisters; Lovon Holyfield, Vera Meadors Summerfield, LA, Ann Cannon, Washington D. C. Mattie Ruth Meadows, Lillie, LA, Dorothy Tubbs Elmore, Atlanta, GA, Mary Ann Tubbs, Smith, Randolph, LA. 15 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
