Betty Stanley-Hardy

Betty Ruth Stanley-Hardy was born on February 6, 1947, to the union of Smead and Ruth Stanley in El Dorado, Arkansas.

She attended New Hope High School in Mt. Holly, Arkansas, where she graduated in May 1966. At an early age, Betty joined Shady Grove Baptist Church. As an adult, she united with Union Mission Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served for many years as an usher and as a member of the Pastor's Aide Committee and the Mission Committee.

Betty found great joy in attending church, caring for children through foster care, and spending cherished time with her family and friends. She was employed for over 20 years with South Arkansas Development Center Group Home, CADC, and Country Pride/Conagra, before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Smead and Ruth Stanley; four sisters, Ruby Brice, Mary Lou Stanley, Raye Anderson, and Caroline Stanley; and four brothers, Earnst Lee Moore, Benny Stanley, Smead Stanley Jr., and Andrew Stanley.

Betty leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving son, Alton Stanley (Dena); six grandchildren, DeShannon Stanley, Ashley Dade, Darnell Stanley, Kashemia Stanley-Lemons, Lashena Stanley, and Kayla Williams; five great-grandchildren, Kaden Stanley, LaNiya Stanley, Alexis Stanley, Kyrie Swanigan, and De'Shuna Lemons; one sister, Marilyn Stanley of Jacksonville, Arkansas; and three adopted sons, Dreon Lindsey-Hardy, Dominique Lindsey-Hardy, and Michael Jones Jr.-Hardy. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, her beloved church family, and many dear friends.
