Barbara Owens

Barbara Owens, a beloved member of the El Dorado community, passed away on July 12, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on September 7, 1938, in El Dorado, Arkansas, Barbara was a cherished wife to Haywood Owens for 50 years and a devoted member of El Dorado First Assembly and Miles Memorial for over 50 years. Throughout her life, Barbara found joy in spending quality time with her loved ones, especially her family, and indulging in her passion for shopping.

Barbara dedicated 45 years of service to Conagra, demonstrating her commitment and strong work ethic. She will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her profession and her warm, compassionate nature that touched the lives of many.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Haywood Owens; parents, Joe Hall and Daisy Neeley; siblings Mae B. Ford, Minnie M. Hall, Martha L. Oliver, Roxie M. Hall, Livonia, Kenneth Hall, Joe Hall, Jr., and Franklin Hall.

She is survived by her son Joe Michael Owens, her granddaughters Tomeka Rochell Harper and Betty Faye McBride (Andrew), as well as her brothers Jimmy and Colvin, and numerous great nieces, including Janice Hicks (Lorenzo), Latasha Green (Robert), Kimberly Henry (Thomas), Shkeshia Gibson (Brandon), Shannon Hicks, Shquita Tandy (Dejoin), and Tarneshia Baker. And a host of relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
