Arvin Kelly Nelson Jr. was born July 5, 1968, in El Dorado, Ark, to the late Arvin Kelly Nelson Sr. and Josephine Davis Smith; he peacefully surrendered his life to Christ at an early age.
Arvin departed this life for eternal glory on May 8, 2022. Arvin graduated from El Dorado High School with the class of 1987 and played basketball and football; after graduation, he moved to North Little Rock, where he resided until his passing. Upon leaving El Dorado, Arvin went to Job Corps, where he began his studies in the nursing field, later employed by Children's Hospital in the burn unit. Then he worked for Tinnabon for 15 years as a heavy equipment operator. The best crain operator ever. His hobbies were watching TV and playing 9 bone dominoes. Arvin loved watching wrestling with his sister, and he loved sports, often reminiscing about his high school football days.
He is preceded in death by his father, Arvin K. Nelson Sr., Grandparents Avanell Davis Bell (John) and Minnie Lee, Bobby Lee Nelson, and one Aunt Bobbie Ann Glover (Robert). Three Uncles, Michael Davis, Donnie Nelson, Eddie Nelson, and one cousin Ron Davis.
Arvin leaves to cherish his memories to his mother, Josephine Davis Smith, one sister Jocquese Logan of Little Rock, AR., and three daughters, Shakara Aaron (Donnie) of El Dorado, AR., Alexis Joy Nelson, and Kelly Canie Nelson, both of Little Rock, AR., eight grandchildren, one niece Shakira Bougard of Memphis, TN., a host of other relatives and friends, and his fiancé Valerie Smith of El Dorado, AR.To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Arvin Nelson Jr, please visit our flower store.
