Aretha Lewis Watson

Aretha Lewis Watson was born to Dorothy Mae Thompson and Leodis Harris in Bernice, Louisiana, on August 29, 1961. She transitioned to her heavenly home on March 4, 2024, at The Springs of El Dorado.

She was greeted in heaven by her parents, her sons Fredrick Lee Jr. and Kedrick Nelson, her sister Sondra Gail Nelson, and LaRhonda Glosson McElroy.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Donald (Duck) Ray Watson, Sr.; her son, Channing (Ivy) Nelson; her daughter, Aletha McHenry; siblings, Phyllis Burns, Miller Ray Mills, Brittany Harris; Special children, Shuntee (D.J.) Harris and Corey (Shayla) Robinson, and Quendedrick Harrell; grandchildren, Kendra Nelson, Kedrick Nelson, Jr., Nyshun McHenry, Jeremy Jamal, Kadabrion Nelson, Christopher Perry, nieces, nephews, and many who called her auntie or mama. She also leaves behind her special friends Dovie Walker, Elder Charles and Rosemary Douglas, Lola Kimble, Latetkie Carter, and Vickie Lee.
