Annie Ruth White

Annie Ruth Young White was born to the late Johnny B. and Mary Alice Young on March 22, 1944.  She united with First Baptist Church Huttig, AR. as a young adult where she served faithfully as President of the Usher’s Board for many years.  She later moved her membership to Ebenezer Baptist Church, Strong, AR after her marriage to Lonnie Ray White where they served together on the Usher’s Board. She served faithfully as Vice President of the Usher’s Board until her mother’s health began to fail.

She was an avid outdoors person, loving to fish, garden and entertain family either on both of the grill or frying fish.  She was a skilled seamstress.  She loved her family consistently and unconditionally and had many, many bonus sons, daughters, nieces, nephews and grandchildren in love.

She departed this life at Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado, AR shortly after her 75th birthday, surrounded by her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jamie Lynn Jones, four bothers: Rudolph Gill Jr., Charles Young, Jerry Young, Larry Young: two sisters Ruthell Young and Carolyn Sue Williams.

She leaves to celebrate her amazing legacy of Love and service seven children. Six Sons:  Dennis Jones, Huttig, AR, Duane Jones, Huttig, AR, William Jones, Darryl Jones, Christopher White, El Dorado, AR, Ronald Jones Little Rock, AR. One daughter:  Joyce Bennett, Little Rock, AR, Three brothers: John Young El Dorado, AR, Ken Young, Bernard Young, One sister Sheila Canfield-Taylor, El Dorado, AR, 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 2:30pm on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Strong.
