Alberta Waldon

December 18, 1928 — May 13, 2022

On Friday, May 13, 2022, Alberta Waldon departed this life at Timberlane Health & Rehab in El Dorado, Arkansas.

She was born December 18, 1928, to the late Elsie Ramey Boone & Walter Boone Sr.at an early age, she united with Mt. Zion Baptist Church Lisbon, AR, where she attended faithfully until the COVID pandemic. She loved the Lord and was an avid reader of her Bible, and enjoyed hearing T.D's Jakes teachings.

Alberta began her work career at Smackover School in the cafeteria, and later in life, she was employed by Warner Brown Hospital as a dietary aide. After she retired from Warner Brown Hospital due to them merging into the Medical Center of South Arkansas, where she was immediately employed as a Dietary Aide, everyone loved her salads and a variety of fruit trays. Alberta had a special relationship and love for everyone in the dietary department; she enjoyed serving the staff and customers that came through the hospital lunch line. Everyone who knew her from MCSA had their own unique story about her while she was employed at the MCSA. She enjoyed her job so much that, she was 88 years old when she retired. Her daughters would often tell her that she would change the retirement age for everyone else if she did not hurry up and retire.

Alberta loved her Grandkids and Great- grandkids, she had a special relationship with each of them and was very protective of them. She raised most of her grandkids as her own.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Joe W. Waldon, her daughter Betty Thompson, her parents Elsie Ramey Boone & Walter Boone Sr., her brothers Ura Lee Boone, Carnell Boone, Sie Boone, Charlie Boone, Walter Boone Jr., and R.L. Boone. Sisters Georgia Floyd and Pearlie Mae O'Guinn.

Left to cherish her most precious memories are her daughters Kay Waldon, Joanne Hinton, Diane Berry (Joe), all of El Dorado, and son Mike Fogle (Llhoma), Camden, AR. A bonus daughter Linda Faye Dixon. sisters Kay L. Franklin of Jonesboro, AR, Julia Nell Snowden (M.D.) Seattle, WA, and Alvenia Daniels, Los Angeles, Ca. eight Grandchildren, Natashia Henderson (Robert), Brandy Berry, Jamia Hinton-Taylor(Homer), Terrance Hinton, Alleah Fogle, Michael Fogle, Barbara Seals, and Ever Dean Johnson. Seventeen great-grandchildren, Ja'nya, Ashanti, Asia, Homer Jr., Taylor, Bryson, Jaxon, Lakeland, Cristian, Rylie, Corey, Nicholas, Franeshia, Brandon, Mica, Steven, Sidney, and a host of family and friends.
