Martrice Marie Brown

"Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me." John 14:1 Martrice Marie Brown was born in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Paul L.Taylor and Muriel Brown. She departed this life on Monday, Ocotber 11, 2010 at her residence in El Dorado, Arkansas. At an early age she united with New Mt. Union Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Paul L. Taylor and a son Roger(Little Roger)Phillips, Jr.; her grandmother, Lillie Adams and grandfather Artis Brown. Martrice leaves to cherish her loving memories, her mother, Muriel Brown of El Dorado, Arkansas; two brothers, Virgil(Shaytra)Sapp of El Dorado, Arkansas and Sidney Sturkeyof Atlanta, Georgia. A host of uncles, aunts, nieces,nephews, cousins and friends. A Homegoing Celebration for Martrice will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Mt. Union Baptist Church, Junction City, Arkansas with Rev. Doug Marsh officiating. Interment will follow in the Community Cemetery, Junction City, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday, October 15, 2010 from 9:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday, October 16 from 8:30 to 9:30am.
