Charlie Davis, Jr.

September 23, 1936 — June 5, 2010

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord. He is my refuge and my fortress, my god in him will I trust." Psalms 91:1-2 Brother Charlie Davis, Jr. was bron September 23, 1936 in the Caledonia Community of Junction City, Arkansas to Charles and Orana Goffery Davis. On June 5, 2010 at his residence, Charlie was called into eternity. He was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church, Three Creeks, Arkansas. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, father in law; A.C. Palmer and four brothers; Floyd Dell Davis, Robert Daivs, Rev. Curtis Davis and Bennie Davis. Charlie was united in holy matrimony to Eula Beatrice Palmer Davis and to this union, they were blessed with three children. Chalie loving memories will be cheriched by his beloved wife; Eula Beatirce Palmer Davis of Wesson, Arkansas, two sons, Elroy(JoAnn)Davis and Steve(Aileen)Williams both of El Dorado, Arkansas, three daughters, Barbara(Robert)Henry of Little Rock, Arkasnas, Kay Davis and Charlotte(Willie)Hall all of El Dorado, Arkansas; six sisters, Maxine(L.C.)Daivs, Betty Griffith both of Chicago, Illinois, Lorene(Carl Jr.)Hays and Louise Davis both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Corene(T.J.) Malone and Sadie Ollison both of El Dorado, Arkansas, twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly. A Homegoing Celebration for Charlie will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Beulah Grove Baptist Church, Wesson, Arkansas with Rev. Charles Ray Henry officiating. Interment will follow in the Caledonia Cemetery, Wesson, Arkansas under the directions of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the funeral home will be held on Friday,June 11, 2010 from 9am to 5pm and Saturday, June 12, from 830 to 930am.
