Huey Pierce Hinderson

"One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life...Psalms 27:4 Huey P. Hinderson was born on November 21, 1935 to Mack Thad and Robertine Hinson. Huey departed this life on December 1, 2009. He was baptized at an early age and attended Curry Chapel A.M.E. Church, Strong, Arkansas. He served in the Air Force in Germany. He attended Gardner High School in Strong, Arkansas. He loved his family, loved to fish,listening to jazz music, politics and gardening. He was twice married to Betty Jean Jenkins and to this union four children were born. He also has two adopted children through his marriage to Eleanor Rich. Huey was preceded in death by his father and brother John R. Hinson of Kansas City, Kansas and Baby Hinson. He leaves to cherish his loving memories his mother, Robertine Hinson of El Dorado, Arkansas; his sister Delora H. Sanders of Kansas City, Kansas; from his first marriage; one son Tyrone P. Hinderson of Los Angeles, California; three daughters, Carmen M. Hinderson Summers of Los Angeles, California, Sylvia R. Hinderson(David)Littleton of Dallas, Texas and Shawnta E. Hinderson of Dallas, Texas; three grandsons, Steven L. Scott(Trinity) of Eureka, California, Travis W. Ferguson of Dallas, Texas and Tyrone P. Hinderson, Jr. of Los Angeles, California; one granddaughter, Kristin A. Bryant of Dallas, Texas; one great-granddaughter, Deja Simone Scott of Eureka, California. From the second marriage, Teresa HInderson(Berry)Pruitt of Kansas City, Kansas; three children; Christine Hinderson(Eugene)Burks of Kansas City, Missouri; six children and one great-granddaughter. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives. Special(angel)cousins Ralph, Essie and Tyree Hinson and Yvonne Hamilton. Funeral Services for Huey will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Curry Chapel A.M.E. Church, Strong, Arkansas with Rev. Ralph Hinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery in Strong, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. No Visitation.
