Orlee Benton

Born Aug. 4, 1928 to Ed and Emma Kendrix, departed this life on March 2, 2018, in El Dorado. She was a resident of Pontiac, Michigan for over 30 years. She leaves to mourn one sister, Betty Rawls, of Pontiac, Michigan; two daughters, Dorothy McLaughlin and May Watson of Pontiac, Michigan; one son, Cleotis Benton, deceased. She married Nathaniel Benton in 1946, until his death in 1964. She was one of 12 siblings, ten deceased, five brothers, Robert, Jimmy, Earnest, Eddie V., and C.W. Kendrix. Five sisters, Arnice Lee, Daisy Watson, Carrie Buggs, Rosie Wallace, and Nellie Ewing. Seven grandchildren, Calvin Parker, Cynthia Benton, Shorean D. Young, Tyrone O’Neil, Sean C. Bone, Nathaniel Bone and Ariona Benton. A host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends. A special thanks to Rance Ollison, Margaret Ross, Linda Faye, Calvin, Wonda, Isiah, and her friends at Christifer Home For Seniors, for helping our mother in her time of need.
