Celebrating the long, fulfilled life of Annie Mae Lovette which ended on March 1, 2018. Annie Mae Lovette was born to the late Notrip Ticey and Hattie Green on March 8, 1922 in Bayou Meto, Arkansas. She was the oldest of fifteen children. Annie gave birth to her only child, Earnestine Alexander, on September 26, 1940. As a young lady she devoted her life to Christ and joined the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Dewitt, AR. She then moved to Kennard, Texas and became an active member of the New Hope Baptist Church where she served in the Choir and Mission Ministry. She later met James Lovette whom she gave her hand in marriage on April 6, 1979. In 1990, the couple relocated to El Dorado, Arkansas where Annie joined the St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Annie loved to go fishing, cooking, gardening, shopping and spending time with her family. Annie took her last breath on March 1, 2018 at Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation Center in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her late husband, James Lovette; her parents, ten brothers, Notrip Ticey Jr., R.J. Ticey, Cleophus Ticey, Jimmy Lee Ticey, Johnny Ticey, Napoleon Ticey, Lester Ticey, Lenard Ticey, David Ticey, and Avan Ticey; two sisters, Gertrude Ticey-London and Corine Ticey- Carrie. Annie is survived by her only child, Earnestine Butler of El Dorado, AR; four grandchildren, Greg Butler (Sarah) of Marion, LA, Sharon Gordon (Leon) of Kansas City, KS, Tina Jackson of El Dorado, AR and Cindy Gibbs (Harold) of Carrolton, TX; eight great-grandchildren, Deliliah Forna (Johnathan) of Arlington, TX, Jamal Craig of Conway, AR, Cameron Gordon of Kansas City, KS, Josh Craig of Fayetteville, AR, Kenyon Gordon of Kansas City, KS, Zachary Gibbs of Carrolton, TX, Brittany Jackson of Houston, TX, Sara Butler of El Dorado, AR; four great-great grandchildren, Jasmine Sanchez, Malachi Craig, Josiah & Laiyah Forna; two sisters, Ella Paterson and Doris Scott in Los Angeles, CA; a special cousin, Sallie Gordon and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, church family and friends who miss her dearly. Public visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2018 from 12-5pm at Sims Mortuary. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at St. John Baptist Church.
