Alice Mae Burns

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want." Psalms 23 Alice Mae Burns was born on August 15, 1929 in El Dorado, Arkansas the daughter of Jimmy and Mizella Blue Long. She departed this life on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the Hillsboro Manor Nursing Home, El Dorado, Arkansas following a lenghty illness. Alice graduated from Washington High School. She worked for Shine's Taxi Company for 20 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church-Cordell. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jimmy L. Burns and one brother, Jimmy Long. She leaves to cherish her memories one brother, Prentiss Long of Longview, Texas. A host of other relatives and friends. A memorial celebration will be held on Oct. 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Sims Mortuary Chapel of the Cross with Rev. Pierce Moore officiating. There will be no visitation. She was cremated.
