Ola Pearl Foster

December 21, 1926 — September 10, 2017

Ola Pearl Foster was born on December 21, 1926 in El Dorado, AR, to Mattie Rogers Tatum and Arthur Tatum. At the early age of 10 she united with Zion Watch Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board for over 60 years. She loved Pastor Dredd and her Zion Watch Church family. She loved fishing, watching wrestling on the T.V. and talking to her family and friends. Her last wish she expressed to her family was for them to “Love one another” and “be there for one another’, stay in “full fellowship with one another”. She believed strongly in the power of prayer. She would often say “take it to the Lord in Prayer and he would work it out.” Ola Pearl passed away on September 10, 2017 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie James Foster, her parents, two sisters, Ruth Pierce and Willie Esther Pierce, three brothers, Ollie B. Tatum, R.B. Tatum and Grady Tatum. She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Charles Foster (Shirley) of El Dorado; one daughter, Bobbie Moore of El Dorado; one sister, Margaret Davis of Fresno, CA; seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren. She also leaves numerous friends and other relatives. Public Visitation Friday, September 15, 2017 from 2:00 pm -5:00 pm at Sims Mortuary.
