T.C. Williams

Bro. T.C. Williams was born January 10, 1923 in Summerfield, Lousiana to the late Willie Mack and Josie Hunter Williams. He departed this life on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi. Over the past nine months, T.C. resided between his daughters, Arma and Linda in Decatur, Georgia and Jessie in Greenwood, South Carolina. At the time of his death, he was relocating to Jackson, Mississippi with Jessie. T.C. grew up in Bernice, Louisiana, but moved his young family to El Dorado, Arkansas in the early 1950's. He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church and sang in the choir before he became ill. He loved to share tales of his travels while he was on the road. Later he worked for and retired from the Murphy Oil Corporation. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jessie; two brothers, Joe Williams and Cleotis Hunter; three sisters, Mary Alice Owens, Mae Doris Cook and Velma Gulley. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, One son, Tony Curtis Williams of El Dorado, Arkansas; three daughters, Arma W. Boyd(LaNorris) of Decatur, Georgia, Jessie Varnado of Jackson, Mississippi, Linda Abdul Azeez of Decatur, Georgia; One brother, Willie Mack Williams of Bernice, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, Lakeshia Hall, Keisha Boyd McDuffie, Tobias Williams, Kortni Boyd Peoples, Kamille Boyd Gilmore, Tristan Williams, Trevor Williams, and Jalal Abdul Azeez; eight great-grandchildren, Treshaun Hall, Delandra Hall, Reginald Boyd Peoples, Grey Boyd Peoples, Gabriel Boyd McDuffie, Tyson Gilmore, Noah Boyd McDuffie and Micah Boyd McDuffie; several nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends. Homegoing Services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Bethel Baptist Church, El Dorado, Arkansas with the Rev. Barry Dobson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of The Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Friday, May 26, 2006 from 8:00am-5:00pm.
