Mr. James Calvin Williams, AKA as J.C, was born in Selma, Arkansas on January 1, 1953, to the late Dorsey and Elois Williams, he departed this life on August 23, 2017. James was a member of Willow Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Calion, AR for some years and he song in the Choir. James work at Calion Lumber Company for 23 years. He loved and cared for everyone he met. Happy to welcome him home or who went on before him. He was preceded in by his mother, Elois Williams; father Dorsey Williams; four sisters, Josephine, Louise, Janice, Lorene; one nephew, Jayden; and one niece, Crystal. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Sherry Harrel Williams; six sisters, Willie M. Brown of Little Rock, AR, Norma J. Keel of El Dorado, AR, Ruby J. Steward of Calion, AR, Shirley A. Butler of Selma, AR, Mae L. Williams of North Little Rock, AR; his grandmother, Alice Ruth Brown; six aunts and four uncles; forty-seven nieces and nephews and a very special friend Miss Gwendolyn Banks. Public visitation will be Friday, September 1, 2017 from 1:00 p.m - 6:00 p.m. at Sims Mortuary. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am. Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Willow Grove Baptist Church in Calion, Arkansas with Pastor Doyle McGhee, officiating. Pallbearers will be Edmund Brown, Trey Shutes, Almico Davis, Mario Williams, Greg Caroll, Qwamaine Standby and Chester Carter. Interment will be at Selma Cemetery in Selma, Arkansas under the direction of Sims Mortuary.
