Cortez Delane Bell was born July 29, 1972 to the late Robert Bell, Jr. and Mary Benson Bell. He was the oldest son of the three children born to this union. Cortez graduated from Farmerville High School in Farmerville, LA and attended Southern University in Baton Rouge for two years. He then started his career in the hospitality industry where he served as the general manager for Pilot Travel Center in Rayville, LA. On his career path, he traveled to the states of Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas where he managed many McDonalds and Wendy’s Restaurants until he became disabled. Cortez was a member of Miles Memorial Church of God in Christ where he served as a Deacon for many years under the leadership of Pastor Miller. His faithfulness and dedication to God, his church family and his Pastor enhanced his many roles on his Christian journey as he served as Usher Board President, Finance Committee Member, Asst.
