Destiny Divine Davis was a bouncy vivacious baby girl born in El Dorado, Arkansas on April 8, 2008to Tameka Buffington and Delano Davis. “Dee-Dee” as she was affectionately called was a very intelligent, charming and playful little girl who had a heart of gold and she really loved her family. She was a special child; a rare “rich gift” who never met a stranger, wore the brightest smile and carried an infectious giggle. She united with Abundant Life COGIC at an early age and united with Victory Church in 2010; where she remained faithful and was always eager to attend. She was an honor roll student and in the Gifted & Talented program at Hugh Goodwin Elementary School in El Dorado, AR. “Dee-Dee” never met a stranger and was loved by so many. She loved to read and watch her favorite tv show Liv and Maddie. “Dee-Dee” made the transition from her earthly form to her heavenly form on June, 10, 2017. She is preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Lennie Pace and great grandparents, Toni and Mildred Buffington. “Dee-Dee” leaves to cherish her memories: a loving & devoted mother, Tameka Buffington and a father who she loved so much, Delano Davis(Yameka); god-parents, Uncle Willie Martin and Aunt Faye Dale; three sisters, Dorleshia Buffington, Journei Buffington and Keziah Norwood of all El Dorado, AR; four brothers, Jamarious Buffington of El Dorado, AR, Delano Davis, Jr of Dallas, TX, Jamar Davis and J’Khari Edmondson both of Little Rock, AR; maternal grandparents, Doris “Granny” Young and John “Papa” Buffington; paternal grandparents, Marcia “MeMe Marsha” Kem and Donald Davis; two paternal great-grandmothers, Beatrice Davis and Virginia Smith; five aunts, Katrina Hegler (Everett), Clarissa Ward (Darrell), Cynthia Anderson (Dave), Cherise McCall (Frank), and Omega Hamilton; three uncles, Scott Buffington, Christopher Buffington and Sean Porter. She also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and many, many friends, as well as, two very special people whom she loved, Shirley Jean Sanders and her “home-girl” Sarah Lovette. Public visitation will be Friday, June 16, 2017 from 12 noon-6 pm at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Victory Church in El Dorado with Pastor Jonathan Ables, eulogist. Family & friends are asked to wear white and peach in memory of “Dee-Dee” Interment will be at St. Matthew Cemetery in McNeil, Arkansas under the direction of Sims Mortuary.
