Roy J. Williams was born on February 22, 1952 to the union of Mack and Avon Pevey Williams. On Tuesday, May 30, 2017 the Angels came and carried him for a much deserved and unexpected rest. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Sam Williams, Willie T. Williams, Lynzel Williams, and Dutch Williams; one sister, Betty Wright Williams and an aunt Hazel Heard. His lasting memories will be cherished by his wife, Jessie Williams of Virginia; two daughters, Tina Jackson of El Dorado and Lisa (Will) Baxter of Texas; one stepdaughter, Sheria Miller of El Dorado; one son, Jeremy (Kelly) Williams of Maryland; one stepson, Joseph Rainey; five brothers, Chester William, Willie Williams, Jimmy Williams, Jerr (Pearlene) Williams all of El Dorado and Andrea Harper of Camden; two sisters, Idaree Williams of Camden and Lynell Williams of El Dorado; and one uncle, James Williams of Junction City. He also leaves eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a host of niece, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. Public visitation will be from 12 noon until 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017 at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Bouldware Temple COGIC with Elder Kelly Owens, eulogist. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in El Dorado, Arkansas under the direction of Sims Mortuary.
