Brittney Bernard

February 22, 1987 — May 15, 2017

Brittney was born to the late Sheila A. Creer, and the late Darryl A. Bernard on February 22, 1987, and was raised by her loving grandparents the late Mary H. (Thompson) and Leonard Wainwright. She was blessed with a large loving heart, a fierce sense of determination, and a sense of humor that was quirky and infectious. She loved to dance; big flowing hair, watching the Disney Channel and spending time with her family. She was the oldest of three children, the granddaughter of Mary and Leonard, the late Raymond E. Creer, and the late Joyce and Wilfred Bernard Jr. Brittney was a graduate of El Dorado High School, and the Lynndale Fundamentals of Beauty School in El Dorado, Arkansas, where she later worked as a stylist before leaving the profession to focus on the greatest joy of her life - raising her son Jayden. She resided in Little Rock, Arkansas surrounded by loving and supportive family and friends. She was a current member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas, and a former member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas. Brittney had a close relationship with God. She accepted him into her heart at an early age and without question. She conversed with him as a friend, confidant and savior; calling him “Big G” and giving him praise every day for allowing her to see another sunrise, and her son’s beautiful smile. She shared her devotion and spiritual love openly. Brittney’s life touched many people. Each one of us has our own unique set of stories stemming from the time we shared with her. Please hold your stories dear, wrap yourselves in them in when you need comfort, and share them with others to keep her rare brand of sunshine glowing brightly. Her memory will be cherished by her son, Jayden Mosley, of Little Rock AR, her “daddy” Leonard Wainwright of El Dorado, AR; her brothers, Shannon Modica of El Dorado, AR, and Sheldon Modica of Little Rock AR. She also had an extended circle of family and friends who will hold her memory dear: her maternal aunts, Sandy Lovett (Donald) of Woodbridge, VA and Raycinia Ellison (Aaron) of Concord, NC; her great-aunts, Velma Williams (Alvin) of Little Rock, AR, Hazel Matthews of Little Rock, AR, Barbara Richmond (Lawrence) of El Dorado, AR, Rose Lott (Robert) of Little Rock, AR, Diane McClelland (Theodore) of North Chicago, IL, Robertine arton (Elward) of Pine Bluff, AR, Margaret Scott of West Monroe, LA, Peregine Thompson of Dallas, TX; her maternal uncles Dee Creer (Eva) of St. Louis, MO, Roosevelt Thompson of Moreno Valley, CA and Harding Thompson of Gardena CA; her paternal aunt Ava Martin (Marlon) of Ft.
