"To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven." Eccl. 3:1-8 Blessed With Life: Jonathan Earl Nelson was born on May 31, 1980 to Willie Earl and Cathy Ann Davis Nelson. Transition: Jonathan Earl Nelson united with his heavenly family; grandmothers, Maxie Davis and Parricia Nelson, grandfather Alma Nelson; uncles Ray, Benny and Kenneth Nelson on September 7, 2009. Education: Jonathan graduated from Junction City High School in 1998. He was a member of the JCHS Marching Band where he served as drum major. He was also a member of the Future Business Leaders of America(FBLA). He was a graduate at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Arkansas where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business. Business Man: Jonathan was employed witht he University of Arkansas as a Taxation Specialist for ten years. He also owned and operated his own business Beyond the Bar. His business was featured in the January 2009 edition of the Northwest Arkansas Citicapes Metro Monthly. Jonathan lived his life to the fullest and will always be a part of the lives he touched. Spiritually Minded: Reared in the admonition of the Lord, Jonathan accepted Jesus Christ as his personal saviour during his membership at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas and was baptized under the pastorship of Rev. Ellis Wilkins. Memories: He leaves to cherish his loving memories his Mother, Cathey Davis of Junction City, Arkanasas, his father and wife, Willie Earl and Sheila Nelson of El Dorado, Arkansas; a brother, Jared Nelson of Fayetteville, Arkansas, a sister Makeba Nelson of Junction City, Arkansas; grandfather, Leon Davis of Junction City, Arkansas; two nieces, Jordan and Justice Nelson; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins other relatives and friends. A Homegoing Celebration for Jonathan will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009 at Beulah Grove Baptist Church, Junction City, Arkansas at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Norphlet, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the funeral home will be Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
