William Ray Noble

August 24, 1960 — April 7, 2017

William “Ray” Noble was born at the Medical Center of South Arkansas to Mattie Noble and the late Hozie Noble Jr. He was called home to eternity on Friday, April 7, 2017. At an early age he joined the Mt. Union Baptist Church. “Ray” was a graduate of the Junction City High School. He was known for his outstanding pitching performance on the baseball field. In his time of being on the field he was the pitcher who lead the Junction City High School Baseball Team to the 1978 State Championship with a score of 24 – 0 which no other high school has accomplished this in 40 years. At this time Junction City High School sports played every conference from 2A – 6A. “Ray” worked at many places throughout his life (He was most defiantly a “Jack Of All Trades” but Master to none. His memories will be cherished by his mother; Mattie Noble of Junction City, Arkansas, (2) sons; Harlandus Frazier of Junction City, Arkansas and Orlando (Jasmin) Hill of El Dorado, Arkansas, (2) sisters; Eleanor Franklin and Alice Hunter both of Junction City, (1) Brother; Michael Noble Arkansas; (7) grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. His best friend Derwin Farris with “Billie Jean”, whom will miss him dearly. Public visitation will be Friday, April 14, 2017 from 12pm-6pm at Sims Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at New Mt. Union Baptist Church in Junction City on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Doug Marsh, eulogist. Interment will be in Community Cemetery in Junction City, Arkansas under the direction of Sims Mortuary.
