"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want...Psalms 23 Bessie Mae Allen was born on August 29, 1917 in Strong, Arkansas the daughter of Henry and Lula Oliver Norman. She was a member of Zion Watch Baptist Church. She worked as a maid in the health industry. Her parents, one daughter, four brothers and five sisters preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, one daughter Velma Ruth Fields of El Dorado, Arkansas; two sisters, Willie Mae Wallace of Decatur, Georgia and Arcie B. Gentle of El Dorado, Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A host of niece and nephews other relative and friends. Homegoing Services for Sis. Allen will be held at Zion Watch Baptist Church on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Veodis Gaines officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Watch Baptist Church under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitaion at the funeral home will be Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 9:00am-5:00pm and Friday, August 21, from 8:30-9:30am. The family will be at the home of Sam and Mary Wallace at 3701 Calion Road, El Dorado, Arkansas.
