Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. John 14:1-4 On Tuesday, November 22, 2016, God summoned for His angel, Dorothy R. Thompson, to come home to the place that He had prepared in His Heavenly Kingdom. Dorothy was born on February 26, 1926, to the union of Oliver and Donnie Washington Robinson in the Bethlehem Community of El Dorado, Arkansas. She was full of life, and possessed such a warm spirit that would brighten anyone’s day. She was raised in a Christian home and she accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church. Dorothy was a homemaker and great cook. She enjoyed fishing and being in the company of friends and family. She lived a simple life and enjoyed the things that it offered. As her health began to decline she moved to Courtyard Rehab where her sweet personality won the hearts of the nurses and staff. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hamilton Thompson (March 28, 2015); two brothers, Eljay Johnson and J. B. Robinson and three sisters, Almeta Carter, Clara Mae Wallace and Fannie Mae Robinson. Although she is no longer with us in body, and her loving presence will be deeply missed. She leaves a brother, Baby Ray Robinson of El Dorado, AR and a niece/caregiver, Joann Lowery of El Dorado, AR; her extended family, Kaye Hardin and family, other relatives and friends.
