"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want...Psalms 23 Mrs. Gracie Boone Turner Manning age 88 of El Dorado, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was the sixth child of the ten children of the late Charlie and Alberta"Lucy"Moore Boone. She was born on January 20, 1921 in Union County, Arkansas. She was a member of Little Bethel Baptist Church, El Dorado, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Jake Turner and Roy Manning, four children, five brothers, Willie Boone, Arthur Boone, Johnny Boone, Gene Boone and Occe Boone and three sisters, Nellie Boone Frazier, Jessie Boone Dawson and Pearl Boone Phillips. Gracie leaves to cherish her loving memories, four sons, George Turner and his wife Lola, Charley Turner, James Manning and Felton Manning all of El Dorado, Arkansas; three daughters, Helen Turner Miller and her husband Rev. Leon Miller of El Dorado, Arknansas, Queen Turner Jones of Jacksonville, Florida and Catherine Highshaw of Rockford, Illinois; one sister, Mary Boone Dawson of El Dorado, Arkansas; four grandsons, Robert Cook of Clarksville, Tennessee, Carl Highshaw of Carson, California, Romondo Highshaw and Tyvice Highshaw of Rockford, Illinois; eight granddaughters, Evlonda Turner, Lisa Turner both of Plano, Texas, Tammie Campbell of Houston, Texas, Laquita Sumlin, Lavetta Dowthard, Kemyatta Jones and Shameca Newkirk all of Jacksonville, Florida and Monika Miller of El Dorado, Arkansas; fourteen great-grandchildren, Ashley, Robbyn, Bria, Brian, Exekiel, Brian, Savion, Penny, Sincere, Ollie, Tyshawn, Nyfyah, Tyra, Tyrone and three great-great-great grandchildren, Amaya, Anaiya and Amari other immediate family members a total of 495 descendants which includes nieces and nephews. Over 3000 other cousins. Gracie Boone Turner Manning was the oldest relative of these descendants. A Homegoing Celebration for Sis. Manning will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Bethel Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas with Rev. Leon Miller officiating. lnterment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery on Lisbon Road under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday, July 24, 2009 from 9:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 25, from 8:30-9:30am.
