Raymond Lewis Moody

Raymond Lewis Moody was born on December 17, 1960 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Andrew and Katherine Moody, Sr. At an early age, he united with the St. Paul A.M.E. Church where he remained faithful until death. He departed this life on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at his home. He worked for the Highway Department until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Katherine Moody, Sr.; two brothers, Odell Moody and Billy Moody. He leaves to cherish him memories, his fiancee, Erma Hampton of El Dorado, AR, two sons, Raymond Moody, Jr., Todd Moody; two daughters, Cathleen Moody and Samantha Moody a step-daughter, Ebony Hampton; seven brothers, Andrew Moody, Jr.(Deloris), Jerry Moody(Elaine), Henry Moody(Mary), Joe D. Moody(Flora), Jimmy D. Moody, Ricky Moody, Danny Moody, his God-son, Gerald Hall(Mookie); a special friend, Mary Holmes all of El Dorado, Arkansas. A host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Moody will be held at New Deliverance Life and Worship Center, Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. George Calloway officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff.
