Michael Ozie Eaglin, Sr.

Bro. Michael Ozie Eaglin, Sr. was born on September 13, 1954, in Opelousas, Louisiana, the son of Floyd and Ellen Marie Pitre Eaglin. Michael departed from this life on Tuesday, April 3, 2006 at the home of his mother-in-law, Mildred Maddox in El Dorado, Arkansas. Michael was preceded in death by his Parents and One sister, Linda Marie Perry. Michael united with Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Woodbridge, Virginia and remained a member until death. Michael served in the U.S. Army from 1972 until 1977 as a mechanic upon completion of his assign duty. He moved to Woodbridge, Virginia and worked for Waste Management as a truck driver for nineteen years. Michael leaves to cherish his loving memories; his wife, Samantha Maddox Eaglin of El Dorado, AR; One son, Michael O. Eaglin, Jr. of Woodbridge, Virginia; Three daughters, Charmine Eaglin and Alicia Eaglin, both of Richmond, Virginia, Ellen Eaglin of Atlanta, Georgia; Two brothers, Floyd David Eaglin(Ullalie Lan) of Hilo, Hawaii and Gabriel Eaglin(Waver) of Opelousas, Louisiana; Three sisters, Roman Eddington of Austin, TX, Patricia Tolbert, Cape Coral, Florida, and Yvonne White(John) of Lee Summit, Missouri; a host of Nephews, Nieces, other relatives and friends. Homegoing Sevices for Mr. Eaglin will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the First St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Bridges, officiating. Interment will follow in the Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of The Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the funeral home will be on Friday, April 7, 2006, from 9:00am-5:00pm. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Mildred Maddox, 620 East Miles, El Dorado, AR 71730.
