Charlie Ford was born on September 30,1933  in El Dorado, Arkansas to Curtis and Gladys Evans Ford.On Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Bro. Ford was called home to be with the Lord.At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior.  He united with Shady Grove Baptist Churchand there he completed his duties and later he became a member of First Assembly of God Church.Bro. Ford will be united in death with both parents, his wife, Mae Birdie ; two brothers and three sisters.Mr. Ford's precious memories will be cherished by two sons, Charlie Ford, Jr. of Louisville, KY and Curtis LeeFord of Milwaukee, WS; four sisters, Cassie Watson, Katherine Welch, Liz Hatter and Betty Miller all of El Dorado, AR; three grandchildren, Janice Hicks(Lorenzo), LaTasha Baker(James) and Kimberly Henry(Billie) all of El Dorado, AR; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces,nephews, relatives and friendswho will miss him dearly.Homegoing Services for Mr. Ford will be Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church, El Dorado, AR with Pastor Chris Cleveland officiating.Interment will follow in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Norphlet, AR under the funeral direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff.No Visitation at the funeral home.   To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Charlie "PaPa" Ford, please visit our flower store.
