"The Lord is my Shepherd..." NAKINA's HEAVENLY RETURN On March 13, 2009 Nakina Jashari Rogers, God's little beautiful and precious Angel, blessed the hearts of her parents, Nicholas and Jessica Rogers as she made her entrance into the world, as they looked upon her beautiful face and thanked God for the miracle of life. The other siblings, her three older brothers, Jaybin, Nicholas and Alec all of El Dorado was astonished at the fact that she had the same number of fingers and toes as they did. The maternal grandparent, Diana Carter of El Dorado, Arkansas, great-grandfather, James Thompson of Stuggart, Arkansas, paternal grandparents, Barbara Rogers Preston of Little Rock, Arkansas, Anthony Smith of El Dorado, Arkansas and great-grandmother, Mittie Savannah were also overjoyed at the new addition to the family , not to mention all the aunts, uncles and other relatives who were equally excited. Knowing that God never makes a mistake on April 6, 2009 he called Nakina to her eternal heavenly home to be with him, leaving her family and loved ones to cherish her memory. Nakina will never be alone. As she departed this life, she is united in death with paternal grandfather, William Savannah II, paternal great-grandparents, Robert "Red" Rogers, Mary Lee Rogers and maternal grandmother, Ida B. Thompson. A graveside ceremony will be held for Nakina on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Shady Grove Cemetery, El Dorado, Arkansas with Rev. Eugene Farley officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. There will be no visitation.
