Liilie "Madea" Hall

Lillie Mae Brim Hall("Madea" or "Meon" was born on November 5, 1931 in Homer, LA the daughter of Andrew and Doris Mae Smith Brim. She departed this life on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. She was preceded in death by four children, Linda Lou Hall, Johnny Ray Hall and Nathaniel Hall and her first born, Thomas James Hall, Jr.; and a son that died at birth. Lillie Mae attended Homer Colored High in Homer, LA. She accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized in Homer. She later moved to El Dorado, AR. She attended the University of Florida where she studied Health Sciences and Dietary Needs. She proudly became the First Black Dietician at Union Medical Hospital in El Dorado, AR. She was a Nurse and a Beautician as well. She united with Greater Paradise Baptist Church where she served as President of the Women's Auxiliary, she also served as President and Treasurer of Circle Naomi. She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Hall; two sons, James Earl Hall and Charles Edward Hall; six daughters, Bettye Jean Osborne, Mary Diane Awbrey, Carolyn Delois Tatum, Mary Jeanette Hawkins, Patresa Annette LeDoux and "Baby", Ni'gra Felecia Ross; three God children, Prentice Hall, Truman Hall and Lawrence Hall; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren. Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday, May 15, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Paradise Missionary Baptist Church, 729 Marsh Avenue, El Dorado, AR. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Lisbon, LA under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff.
