Sylvester Pryor

Sylvester Pryor was born on September 15,1948 in Gregory, AR, the son of Oliver J. and Willie Bell Jones Pryor. He departed this life on January 22, 2006 at his residence. At an early age he united with the St. Paul A.M.E. Church of Gregory, AR. He moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1967. While there he met and married Donna Stepp. To this union two children were born. Sylvester moved to the El Dorado area in 1983 and there he started his own building maintenance business"Pryor Maintenance". He was preceded in death by three brothers; Bill, Jose and Dewayne Pryor. Sylvester leaves to cherish his memories; One son, Daryl Pryor(Shameka) of Mobile, Alabama; One daughter,Lakisha Amos(Derrion)of Magnolia, Arkansas; Two brothers, John Pryor(Delois) of Oakland, California and Paul Pryor(Elizabeth) of Chicago, Illinois; Two granddaughters, Tyesha Jackson and Quashana Terry. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Homegoing Services for Mr. Pryor will be held on Friday, February 3, 2006, 11:00am in the Sims Mortuary Chapel, El Dorado, AR. with the Rev. L.B. Terry officiating. Inerment will follow in the Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the Funeral Home, Thursday, February 2, 2006 from 9:00am-5:00pm.
