Rev.Ollie B Butler

"Me The Wok I've Done Speak For Me"Reverend Ollie Bell Butler was born on July 12,  1924 in Urbana, AR the son of Jesse and Lillie Norman Butler. He received his reward on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Webster, TX.   He received his education at the Farm School in the Lawson District. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Mt. Zion #2 Missionary Baptist Church, Urbana, AR,where he served as an usher,choir member and as a Deacon.He accepted his call into the ministry in the 1970's and was called to pastor at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he served for 14 years.  After retirement from Shiloh, He served South Arkansas as an interim Pastor many years.He also served in the Friendship District as Vice-President of the Congress of Christian Education and later served as President. He was a member of the Early View Lodge#181 of Urbana where he was a past Worshipful Master and past Worthy Patron of the Morning Star#122 Order of the Easter Star.  He was a 32nd Degree Mason of the J.C. Corbin Consistory #204. He served in the United States Army from 1944 and was discharged honorably in 1946, for his acts of heroism during WWII, he received a Bronze Star Medal. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings and his wife, Ruby Lee Moore.   He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Charles E. Butler of Felsenthal, AR and Dwayne A. Butler of Lignum, VA; three daughters, Gloria L. Butler of Webster, TX, Audrey E. Butler of El Dorado, AR and Karen D. Sain of Little Rock, AR; 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation at the funeral home Friday, January 2, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Douglas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Camden Hwy, El Dorado, AR with Rev. R.C. Aaron officiating. Interment will  follow in the Mt.
