Willie Lee "W.B." Banks was born on July 23, 1956 in Bernice, LA the son of Ira and Mildred Ward Banks. He departed this life on Wednesday, July 22, 2014 at his residence in Calion, AR. He was preceded in death by his father, his brother Ira Banks. He spent his early years in Fellowship, LA and attended Rosenwald School in Junction City, AR and Norphlet High School, Norphlet, AR. He was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church, Calion, AR. He worked at Calion Lumber Company, Calion, AR. He is survived by his Mother, Mildred Banks of Calion, AR; two brothers, Carl S. Banks of Texas and Robert Banks of Little Rock, AR; seven sisters, Gloria Whitney of Dallas, TX, Patricia Ross-Riley of Detroit, MI, Ethel Dean Burns of Norphlet, AR, Joann Williams of Calion, AR, Gwen Banks of Calion, AR, Linda Banks of Atlanta, GA and Vicki Davis. Visitation at the funeral home Friday, July 25, 2014 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 26, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Willow Grove Baptist Church, Calion, AR at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Doyle McGhee officiating. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Church Cemetery, Junction City, AR under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff.
