Elmer Smith

October 22, 1918 — October 24, 2013

If I should go tomorrow It would never be goodbye, For I have left my heart with you, So don't you ever cry. The love that's deep within me, Shall reach you from the stars, You'll feel it from the heavens, And it will heal the scars. Heaven's gates opened on October 24, 2013 to receive yet another angel, Elmer Smith. Elmer was born October 22, 1918 to the union of Henry P. Smith and Lillie Mosley Smith. Elmer was well known around town as a jack of all trades. He was a mechanic, house mover, and laborer, just to name a few. To know him was to love him. Montgomery, Wordie Bea Smith and Lizzie Williams. His legacy will be carried on through his six sons, Bruce Smith, Elmer Charles Smith, Lonnie Earl Hicks and Jonah Johnson all four of El Dorado, Arkansas and John Eddie Smith and Charles Ray Smith both of Detroit, Michigan; two daughters, Mary Shutes and Shirley Rocehelle both of El Dorado, Arkansas; forty-nine grandchildren, eighty great-grandchildren, twenty-eight great,-great-grand children; three special friends, Willie Faye Cooper, Queen Dixon and Dorothy Sheppard; along with a multitude of friends and love ones who will miss the sharing of his life stories.
