Sister Mittie Williams was born November 28, 1937 in Farmerville, LA the daughter of Jason and Anne Mae Finley Jones. On Thursday, November 10, 2005 the Lord picked a lovely flower from his garden and called Sis. Williams home. At an early age she feel in love with and married Charles Williams. During this unity nine children were born. Sis. Williams confessed her love for Christ at an early age and became a member of the Pleasant Hill Church. She later joined and became a faithful member of the New Hope C.M.E. Church. There she served as a Missionary until death. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Williams; two sons, Dell and L.T. Williams, one sister, one grandchild and one great-grandchild. She leaves to cherish her memories, Three sons, Charles Williams(Leola), Jay Williams(Dorothy) both of El Dorado, AR, John Williams(Kay) of Smackover, AR; Four daughters, Linda Hill(Louis), Carolyn Wade(Felix)and Barbara Benjamin(Kelvin) all of Junction City, Arkansas, Beatrice Sawyer of El Dorado, AR;Five brothers, Robert Finley and Milton Finley both of Farmerville, LA, Lee Oliver Finley of Bastrop, LA, Lee Finley and Herbert Finley both of Dallas, TX; Four sisters, Arree Benson of Oaklawn, CA, Melinda Austin of El Dorado, AR, Wanda Sonia and Mattie Capers of Farmerville, LA; One step-daughter of Little Rock, AR; A close friend and daughter, Margie Wade. A dear friend, Prentis Moore. Eighteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; a host of neices and nephews. Homegoing services for Sis. Mittie Williams will be on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 12:00 noon at the New Hope C.M.E. Church in Junction City, AR. with the Rev. Joe Watson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Farmerville, LA under the direction of Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm. Family hour will be at 6:00pm The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Barbara Benjamin, 321 Poplar St., Junction City, AR To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Mittie Williams, please visit our flower store.
